Mixed Flow Fan from Westaflex

Dropped in to a local Westaflex store and picked up a "MixFlo" inline fan. Price was only $115 for a 150mm fan. I also got a 300VA fan controller for it ($27.00)

The fan is a little loud sitting on the bench running, but when using with the fan controller it quitens down a lot (as does flow of course).

I'm keen to hear it once I get it installed with carbon filter and insulated ducting - but that has to wait for now

 

I was surpirsed by the prices I got, as I thought they were quite reasonable.

Heya BlindNovice, Cool score, but probably would of been better off with a centrifugal fan, these move more air. Unless your using CFL's to light ya area , you will need the extra flow not just to remove stale air but also heat from the grow area.

I have a 150mm inline venting a cupboard running a 130w CFL and more than that sort of lighting, I'd be stepping up to the centri. Best of luck. Peace. Gh72

Even the centri aren't a bad price and they move a shitload of air.

Yea, I'll see if this fan does the job, and if not, then I'll look into a 150mm centrifugal fan.

I'm building a new setup (900mm x 1100mm x 2000mm) and it should be done soon, so I'll post some results later down the track when I have this running.
