Drugs found at prison officer's home

A QUEENSLAND prison officer has been suspended on full pay after drugs were allegedly found at his home.

 

The officer, who works in a southeast Queensland jail, was charged earlier this month with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, a Corrective Services Department spokesman said.

 

He was remanded to appear in the Brisbane Magistrate's Court on January 22.

 

The officer has been on annual leave and has not been on duty since police laid the charges.

All drugs are "dangerous" aren't they? You can quite easily drink yourself to death. Is that what the offence is called in QLD, "possession of a dangerous drug"?

 

Does anyone know which illegal drug was found in this poor dude's house? Please tell me it wasn't just a plan or two?!

 

I could easily shovel shit for a living and one day I may have to, but there's no way in hell I'd be a prison officer.... imagine the stress.

fucken hell wade, when I read your comment I realised that I had missed the point altogether...

 

I like to think that I live my life "honourably", I don't screw people over and i'm under the mis-apprehension that if I don't break any serious laws (I know that's naive) that when the cops rock up to my door (only because I'm being a noisy cunt) I can tell them to go and get fucked and they'd have absolutely nothing to pin on me.

 

I can't really see things from a "criminal" point of view but I've just realised that because I grow and smoke dope (hehe, well one day I hope to be successful at growing) that according to the law I AM a criminal... and one day I may even be locked up fot it and that is just fucked!

 

I'd like to withdraw my "poor dude" comment about the prison oficer and offer my sympathy to the poor dude's who are in the can beasue of stupid laws that make them "criminals".

Surely the some of the inmates could tell, you can generally pick a smoker, or maybe it was a case of him supplying the inmates?

hey mate. yeah unfortunately the powers that be, put minority groups like us into the criminal basket. even though none of us hurt anyone and basically just mind our own busiuness.

 

unfortunate but it's true.

 

it's easy to let slip up. you've got to be on your guard all the time in this game. it really is a matter of not talking out of school. don't trust anyone!

 

mate don't show too much symathy for the people in the can. the majority of cons should be there.

i know it sounds easy. and it is if you change your normal thinking patterns.

for someone who'se been around the traps a bit, this is second nature.

but even if you are a clean skin, you,ve gotto try and see things from the other side of the fence. it's generally the people who are niave and unstreet wise who really get fucked in the ass.(ripped of, manipulated etc.)

 

remember man. not every one in the dope game is a passive, non threatening hippy. there are bad people out there waiting for a stooge.
