need help

i set up a curtain in my wardrobe 2 block the light in so u cant see light cumming out of my wardrobe and its a small wardrobe so the curtain is against the light all the time is this bad? will the light get hot and could it burn its a 400 watt light.

the 400 pumps ALOT of heat out, and is def enough to melt plastic,

I think you would be wise to staple the plastic well away from the light, or use paint instead.

It's best to have good room for the lamp and shade to be ventilated. They get very hot so it could cause problems, even a fire. I know that sounds serious but it's true, those things can quickly cause you a lot of problems if you have them covered with something, or consistently touching it.

 

What material is it made of? Wouldn't you be better off with a solid door/wall? And is there any way of positioning the light so it's not touching anything?

 

One more, are you referring to the globe itself or the shade.
