Seeds not germinating

Recommended Posts

I have never heard of "seed worms", Worms that appear from inside the shell.

Would I be able to use these so called 'seed worms' to catch a fish???

Let them grow a little, before you play with them.

I bet they would like you if they lived for long enough.

If they really are a parasite, it sounds like you have infected everything in your house by now.

Maybe you could post a pic of 'the seed worms' for us.

Space cadet 101 nailed the problem pretty well.

Excess moisture was most probably the culprit.

The worms or parasites are really small, probably 2 or 3 millimeters long by 1/2 a mill thick and white like a maggot only smooth skinned like a worm.

Can't help with photo's as I have eliminated the moisture problem and I am not disturbing anything in hope something pops up.

More than likely the little bugs are not there now due to lack of moisture.

I'm sure someone here can give a scientific explanation if you know what I mean.

Would love to help with a photo but it's out of my league.

"Thats what I'm finding in mine when I squeeze them open."

Squeeze them open? If you are squeezing them then what you could be seeing/doing is squishing the embyro out of the seed pod. That would look like worms.

I can't see any bug penetrating the hard outer shell of the seed to lay eggs of microscopic proportions to have maggotty things coming out of them. BOCICBW
