Whats happening here?

The Claw

When you first see this you immeditately think Hermie, but this is not the result of being pollenated, there are no seeds. What has happened is when the plant got sick (roots) the bottom half of the plant died, this happens when the plant can't get enough to sustain it through the roots so it feeds off the lower limbs and works it's way up to keep it's self alive. These calyx died you can see the brown hairs and opened a touch, containing a hard white centre. They are low down on the plant just above the die off point, I should mention that they are the size of pin heads (tiny). The plants are now healthy, have put on a huge grow spurt and out grown the room. Had to remove the light mover and put the light up against the ceiling. These plants where a few weeks into flower when the shit happen then they put this huge grow on while recovering, so it looks like I'm in for some monster cropping from the lower limbs. As for all the tiny white calyx you can hardly see them now as the new buds start to grow over them.
