wade's grow thread.

hello again., i thought i might jump on the band wagon and put in my own grow thread. should be good for a laugh anyway.

the thread will be about 8 c99 clones.

 

o.k i took the clones off the mother about 4 weeks ago and were grown in styrofome cups in yates seed raising mix. the larger pieces of bark were screened and removed. the cuttings were approx 3 inches long and were placed in water for 10 mins,scarred(thanks w.c) dipped in hormone powder and were planted about an inch or so into the medium. the lights i used were 3 18 watt cool white c.f's.

within 2 weeks clones had strong root system and were ready for light period to be reduced to 15 hrs. they were gently repotted into 4 inch pots. the medium was a mix of good quality potting mix, decomposed manure, peat moss, dolomite and a small amount of fast release organic fert. clones have grown approx 3 inches. they were put in semi shade the first day and then to full sunlight.

week 4 today. planted clones into permanent position. each hole was prepared 3 mths ago. it is approx 3ft by 2ft deep with the following soil addatives.

 

decomposed stable manure 10 kg

terraphosca complete organic fert with blood'n bone and seaweed extract 400 gr

sulphate of potash 15 gr

sulphate of immonia 20 gr

super phosphate15gr

water crystals 10 gr

4 inches mulch(spent sorgham stubble) being careful to keep mulch away from trunk as it can cause trunk rot.

addatives were mixed into the bottom 2 thirds of the hole.

we're getting half decent rain up here tonight so plants have hopefully had the perfect start.

Wow sounds like you are really going for it man!

 

All I did for my outdoor babies was to dig a hole and put em into it...and they still grew

 

So if I put in the effort you did I can only imagine the outcome

well,clones are doing well. have grown to an ave hight of about 14 inches. gonna give them a urea tea when the weather heats up again.

been getting rain for past 3 days yay
