Spray bottle on leaves

Yo, just a quick question. Is there any benefit from using a spray bottle of water to mist the leaves of a vegetative plant, whenever you water it? I understand it helps with newly sprouted plants to stop them from drying out but is there any pro's or cons to spraying in the next stage of growing. or is it better to just pour water on the soil.

hi an welcome , i dont think spraying plain water on the leaves would do to much specialy if ya watering threw the soil except clean the crap off leaves , with a lil nutes in it the plant should take the feed in quicker , Edited December 15, 2011 by smashed1

the effect caused by spraying outdoor plants with water can ONLY be quantified upon recognising current environmental conditions of the planet at the time of foliar spray application.....
