Hey,

I got 11 seeds 5x outdoor temperate(from Canada) and 6xMalawi Gold (also from canada) in soil waiting for them to sprout. I have them inside under 50 watts of cool Compact fluros. Is this optimum enough conditions for them to sprout. i also just put 5 of the malawi gold in rockwool with them. They are all in a humidity tent.

Is this cool.

i've never found it necessary to use lights for germination.

recently i germinated 20 out of 20 just using seed raising mix, positioned on the window sill.

 

i did however put them in a cup of rain water for 12 hours previous to sowing.(we don't have town water out here.)

they were all up within 4 days.

others like to use the paper towel method.

 

i think they both work equally well B)
