Kubbys denied political asylum in Canada!

It's a bit of a shock, but Steve Kubby and his family have been denied political asylum in Canada. If you haven't been following his plight, Steve was instrumental in California's 215 legislation allowing medicinal marijuana. He fled the United States when it became clear he could not use his medicine from within prison.

 

Steve has a rare form of adrenal cancer, no-one has ever lasted as long as he has, and he has dozens of doctors and researchers backing him up that it's the cannabis. Testimony during the hearings made it very clear that if he returned to California he would be jailed, and denied his medicine, but Canada's Immigration Hearing found that Steve:

 

"did not have a well-founded fear of being persecuted or tortured, or that there was any risk to his life, if he returned to his home state of California"
