litte critters in seed packs?

Recommended Posts

OK, so as a nature lover, I am keen on ensuring Australias rich biodiversity is protected.

But as a pot head I am interested in importing high quality cannabis seeds...

Has anyone ever found any evidence of; little critters, mould, dirt or anything else that may affect our ecology in their seed packs

from overseas.

I think it is a real concern.

thanks

Puka

Nope, and you shouldn't either, seeds are generally treated with care to ensure their viability, any company that lets any of the things you mentioned into their seed stock would have all sorts of trouble with quality control.

Although I have heard that red spider mite came here from canada in a large shipment of seeds, could just be an urban legend though <_<

you got as much chance of finding anthrax in your breeder packs as you do of finding some kind of critters...

Breeding cannabis seeds is a reputable busisness, and most strive to bring the best quality products, quality and seeds. (bar GHS with their color coded seed gimmick lol - bit iffy on that)

anywho, buy bulk and have em sent to a safe addy.. and you shall have seed stock for many years to come

peace :bongon:

I think it`s great someone thinks this way

Gotta generally agree with above posts, slim, if any chance of contamination from a reputable seedbank`s end of things.

yeah your in the very small minority of people who care about this world puka :)

if there were more like you , we wouldnt live in such a fucked up place.

im sure the good seed banks are careful with what they send overseas to cover their asses,

but theres still lots of other diseases and environmental screwing things happening every day either way :)

it's good to see your concern puka. i doubt most are as thoughtful as you. if the seed comes from a reputable vendor you're pretty safe. if you happened to find someone offering wild collected seed from some o/s landrace you might wanna think twice before getting them.

I've never had anything but cannabis seeds in my seed packs, but I only buy from reputable seedbanks, I don't take up free seed offers and I wont trade seed with other growers internationally. I break customs/quarantine as infrequently as possible and only for the seed I have purchased.
