If you plan on putting seedlings near fertilizer you should moisten it for 2 weeks in the sun before doing it, Starting in plain peat and having the next lot of soil w/fertilizer getting ready will make sure the nutrients will be available. Another good reason for potting up from cups of peat. ;)

 

Also, dont water if its overcast [it has been really overcast where I am ATM but my plants dont mind because theyre 8" now and getting their big leaves].
