Temp troubles

Hi people,

 

Got issue with room hovering around 30-32 degrees under lights.

 

I have two pedestal fans, a 200mm inline air intake from outdoors, a small portable aircon (which does F'kall) and carbon filter drawing air out.

 

To me it seems the carbon filter isnt drawing out the air quick enough.

 

Would it be worth getting a 300mm inline fan just to draw that extra hot air out of the room

 

Summer hasn't even kicked in yet.

 

Also my room is set up properly and insulated.

do u have a cooltube? im in sort of the same boat but my temps are 25c in tent room while outside is 17c

what sort of fan you got on ya carbon filter? If it's an inline ya wasting ya time venting a whole room with it. Simple answer- don't send an inline fan to do a Centrifugal fans job. Hope that helps.... oh, more detail and pics helps a lot too. peace. Gh72

no cool tube, was thinking of just trying to draw the hot air out of the room.

maybe get a cool tube couse those lights generate a fuckload of heat i ran my 600w with out the tube for 20 min and temps were goin up to 45c in a 1.2x1.2x2.0m tent with a 200 inline fan and a 200 centrifugal with a cooltube they stay about 5-7c higher then outside temps

heya Bimmy T, i got a 250mm centri drawing air from a 4m x 5m room, I'd say the problem is ya intake, not enough air coming in, thats why the 250mm centri is struggling, when ya post some pics will look at ya set up and see what we got to work with. Peace. Gh72

sounds like your air conditioner is doing nothing because your venting the cold air strait out of the grow room if u can afford to run a air conditioner i would lean towards going with a closed off room meaning turning off your exhaust fan and run your air condition on a thermostat controller switch if possible the air conditioner will turn on and off when u set a temp 28c would be ideal thru summer than all u need to do is either run your vent fan for a couple of minutes once per hour to replace the stale air or buy a basic Co2 system
