how long do clones need under fluros

hey everyone,how long do i need 2 leave clones before they root as wanting 2 take outdoors,

Hey cheech#1 i have only cloned ounce and thay all worked i only done 3, it took about ten days i think to start showing the roots out of the bottom of the rock wool, but i am sure there are better ppl here to help u out in the area of cloneing.

It usually takes about about 2 weeks but make sure to keep them out of the cold when you put them outside to stop them from getting root shock. Id re-pot into 6" pots and wait another week before putting them outside to avoid any stress - theyre delicate.

 

Harden them as you put them outside also - reduce the lighting times slowly during the extra week and move them into the direct sun slowly and they should be fine [reducing the light slowly should stop them from flowering - moving from 24/0 to daylight hours can make them flower and moving them into the sun slowly will stop them from stunting].

Well Mr Cheech, first let me say I love you...I mean I love your work...

but you should probably wait till you get roots coming out of the bottom of your blocks - that's assuming you did them in rockwool. Personally I'd wait till you see new little feathery green growth coming out of the centre, as this shows your clone is not only rooted but is now into grow mode. If you take it outside before this the shock will probably slow it down, and you'll lose any value of the extra week's sunlight. Flouros are pretty good until you get past 3 node points on the clone anyway ya know.
