He doesn't actually make the stuff though IIRC, he hires chemists who are coming up with these new combinations. Under the contract there would be a clause stating "all inventions/ideas created while working for [company] remains the property of said company, blah, blah....".

 

He seems like a wanker to me, his "music" isn't much to write home about either,
