Dunno if this is really the right forum but hey we're here now so...

 

I too have a recirculating system using expanded clay medium & I have the nutes running for 15 mins every hour & then maybe once or twice during the night to keep the nutes circulating & warm. I use one of the heavy duty manual 15 minute increment timers not a digital one.

Ref nute level I start my clones off at about half strength or less when 1st putting into gro room & progressively work up to a max of about 80% full strength. I have a hydro truncheon & try to keep the overall parts per million about 1400 ppm.

 

Ref scrog, clones would be preferable for the reasons Mr Skywalker mentions.

At the end of the day it's not rocket science & it's only a weed so don't be too worried about getting it wrong.

 

Ref pics you can only post a max of 100kb size. You can resize pics in "paint" by cropping the image, also some image / photo software applications (often supplied free with the camera) enable you to lessen the size of the file by decreasing image quality & / or image size. have a little knowledge on this my brother reads electricity meters and they r trained to spot people stealing power if your power bill doubles cause you wacked a couple of 1000 watt lights in the shed out the back there will b no problem if u pay the bill.i have never known anyone getting busted cause the bill doubled but i have herd of people getting done 4 stealing it.greed has taken over when u steel!

I will share what knowledge i have on power/growing/cops.

 

Basically if the feds are onto you, but have no evidence, they can check the power bill to see if you use above the norm. They can use this to get a warrant to search.

 

Moral of the story - never tell anyone - never go to a hydro shop in your car - never go directly home from the shop - never use the phone to talk anything about ganja, dont talk code on the phone 2- never have lots of visitors etc.

 

I have known drug squad to scope out the number plates of people going in and out of the hydro shop.

 

Some people make it suss when they have no job and drive into hydro shop carpark with a brandnew SS commodore ute, its only a matter of time for people like this.

 

I may sound like a paranoid fuck, but caution is number one in a stoners game. (we do live in a police country)

 

As far as power consumption go, I have known people with electricty bills of $1500+ and has done so for years and years, never any problems, but if you cops were onto them, this would give them grounds 4 immediate search. As far as the electricty company go's they have never given a fuck - more power = more profit, (but for fucksake pay your bill on time)

 

The best idea ive ever seen 4 a big grow is a three phase line with a "power distribution" box (most wholesale music lighting company sell them) connected to it. This will give you 12 10amp circuits each with its own breaking circuit. Cost for one of these boxies is about $2000, but it is very DIY, once you have the electriction put the "3 phase line" in. (what would the electriction think if you asked him to put 12 single phase lines down into the back shed).

You can get those boxes alot cheaper than that. I am sure thats what the shops charge and although I am no electrician, I am a muso and have come across these before.

 

There is always a way to get things cheaper I can tell you. It can't be that hard to do hey?
