@ LS

I agree we should kill bill, but seriusly yeah it was a good movie the gore was funny it looked like a shower head was spraying blood during the decapitation scenes and there are a few heads that go flying, and also the amount of blood that is lost is just completely over the top if you consider the blood vol=5L, but i agree it was a goodmovie and this was the intended effect IMO, I could name a dozen films that are worse eg priv. ryan, full metal jacket (suicide) the list goes on these are much more realistic and therefore don't make me :P, the twist/cliffhanger at the end is great can't wait for vol2

Peace mate

Kill Bill felt like an extended TVC to me - very slick and very, very self-conscious (ie. you could practically see Quentin in each shot). Was there a story ? Not much of one but then they filmed the original script into two movies (everybody's doing it these days = more box-office $). If your idea of entertainment is seeing blood spray why not spend a morning at a slaughterhouse? All the fights were cut like pop clips - any Hong Kong produced beat-em-up of the last two decades would at least try to cover major fights in one take (Bruce Lee was remarkably like Fred Astaire in this regard). Sure, Kill Bill had impecable production values (those millions count after all) but I don't think it's depiction of women is doing anyone, male or female, any favours. Why are we all so excited by the idea of the perfect killing machine ? Why so much effort spent glorifying the worst that humans are capable of ? Wasn't Uma's character part of the murderous clan she's now bumping off ? So what's up her ass ? Somebody shot her, killed her baby ? Boo hoo. My partner is currently pregnant and I'd rip aprt anyone who threatened her but, really, as a plot catalyst here it's all a bit ho-hum. Hollywood continues to glorify brutality and destruction - it's all good drama we're told. Bollocks. Destruction is the easiest thing in the world - ask anyone creative. I wouldn't pay to see this film - I don't want to encourage more like it. I saw a DVD rip - I figure they can affort to shout me on this one.

Sorry about the rant but I am sick of this stupid, murderous shit from the USA we're sold as entertainment..

Oh, I think Tarantino is a good writer and director - he's just a boy who grew up in a brutal nation.
