ferts

Yeah theres a lot of aussie brands that do a good job.

General Hydroponics is a popular hydroponic nutrient here and they have a few choices in nutes - I will be using their 1 part nutrients for a few months before going back to organic.

We make the legendary Seasol liquid fertilizer which is a kelp extract and its great for growing in pots.

We have Yates and I think Manutec [could be a yanky product though] range of minerals for conditioning our soil too - gypsum is a necessity if you are a gardener where I live. We do a lot of mining here so it makes sense that we make good cheap mineral products.

Theres a lot of water crystal manufacturers also because you really need to provide for drought over here [i use sphagnum moss instead which holds more water than anything else - a Kiwi brand though and I can get the name of it if you want].

Soils and composts are usually produced in the local area so I doubt we have the same brands in these areas.

You should see the sunlight we get here!

We have craploads of ferts down under, lots of them are made MJ specific too, which is something that I understand you can't get in the US. (You poor bugger.... :P )

I use a Nulife Technologies 1 parter sometimes, sometimes their two parter formula, others as well, it depends on whats there and what I need to get...

The basic hydroponic nutrients designed for inert media are pretty much all similar, we also have a few coco-specific and growool specific nutes on the market here for mj too, and there's even been a few hydro-organically produced nutrients come on the market recently, (these are made using vermiculture) and whilst they are currently quite expensive in comparison, they should come down in price as they become more popular. I haven't tried these hyrdo-organically produced nutes yet, but I'm most interested in it, and I'll probably give it a go one of these days.

:P
