why is there an age limit

there is an age restriction because the site has adult content. 16 to buy cigarettes, 18 to have sex unless your a woman in which case its 16( maybe the law makers like younger women hey) 17 to drive, 18 to drink, 25 for cheaper insurance. and it goes on and on. so go figure why is there an age restriction on this site??where did this thread come from any way? it is that old!!!
