Random ultra early male

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, got some little babies in the ground atm that were planted from seed on 30/9. All are going pretty well (excusing the odd munched leaf here and there) so I'm happy (first outdoor grow). One little guy has gone a bit loopy though and appears to suddenly be flowering after only 4 weeks. Luckily it seems to be a male, but I was curious if anyone could come up with an explanation.

I must add that it is bagseed, so I have no idea the strain or even if it's ind/sat/rud (but appears to be sativa), although I have a seed from the same bud that's been growing perfectly fine in a growbox for the last 4 months (was my first ever plant and amazingly a pure female)

Also, I have a fairly good organic vegie gardening background so I know that sometimes plants will sometimes go to flower when put under stress, and my mate who's backyard it's in said he found it knocked over the other day, so I thought perhaps that might be a factor. Any other suggestions, so I can make sure it doesn't happen to any others?

Haha it's so cute ;)

I had one who was about 7 weeks just turn male due to stress .

I had him planted near another plant and i find when they compete for root space

One always seems to turn male , I use this for breeding .

But as for your plant , being outdoors from such a young age with the high and low temperatures,

The day and night changes , the rain and soil temps ... These can all affect a seedling and stress

It out enough to flower early .

Get some big coke bottles , cut the bottom off and use them as a greenhouse over your other plants

And it will help :) take the lid off the bttle on hot days though !

Im sure the rest will be fine , they are a weed and come from the great outdoors so most can handle it.

Good luck , let us know how you g0!
