Your outdoor techniques

Recommended Posts

Hey guys !

I have been taking lots of photos of my current outdoor op, just have to find a cord to upload them so stay tuned

But i was wondering what you guys do to your outdoor plants in the way of training them :)

I doubt ill go down the path of topping or fimming, been there done that it seems a bit cruel to the plants sometimes ;)

But this year i plan on LSTing a bit firstly to make them less obvious but secondly hopefully increase the yeild a bit.

I have heard of pinching lower branch growth or something, and seen a few tutorials on supercropping...

just wondering what works for you guys :)

All my plants are around a foot tall now, cant wait to start a journal so you can watch my babies grow

Take it easy

G'day DD.

In over 35 years of outdoor growing I've always tipped them, only once though. As far as training goes I don't ever bother to do anything to them, just let 'em rip, some may need to be rather severly bent down, to stop them getting too big. But that's about it. At 1 foot tall they should be in the ground, that you prepared 3 months ago, and kicking arse.

Hey norm hope everything's goin along well at your place :)!

Sounds good , at what size do you tip them mate :)?

Yeah they have been in the ground for about 2 weeks or so I'm visiting Wednesday with Gogo juice that I think it's you always recommending it :)

So far so good for me , a bit of bug (I think snail damage)

And one feral echidna who kept somehow just walking in through one of my fences (even though rabbits etc can't) and dug up a few of the plants ...

But there's always a few set backs , I gotta get some photos up for you !

Size won't be a problem really for me , so I'm all down for all natural and maybe a tip on a few :)

Last year I didn't do anything to mine and wasn't overly happy with the plants form and yield, however through some unfortunate circumstances one of my plants pretty much died and I ended up cutting it down near the base of the plant to which it grew back strongly, this resulted it in being topped from where I cut it. The yield was that much better and when your outdoors I don't see the reason not to let them get a little bushy. So this year I have experimented and at least topped each plant once and some a few more times than I probably should have but I wanna see what happens, all in the name of science!
