aussie made glass
Are bongs being made illegal? what are these new laws you are talking about.. I live in QLD and there are bongs for sale at all tobaconists.. here is youtube clip of the kind of thiong I'm talking about (vapeorizer).. I imagine the ceramic filter will be the roadblock here.. cheers puka Victorian State law comes in effect on Jan1, no bongs for sale or display allowed and middle eastern style hookahs will be restricted from display as well, but not banned from sale, as far as I understand it. Google Victoria Bong Ban and you'll come up with info on this. Our french premier and his health minister seem to think that banning bongs will reduce the number of people who smoke weed and hence reduce the incidence of mental illness. They will find, but never admit, that it will have no effect on reducing the number of people who smoke cannabis. Instead it will force people into making their own implements out of whatever they can find; the plastic bottle, neighbour's garden hose and alu foil will be very popular. It's ridunculous. But that discussion really belongs to another thread. btw, I'm not sure if it's just me, but your youtube pic didn't stick
Ford Fairlane
Sorry AMG prob helps if I press paste..My linkThey sure are some shit laws. Reminds me of when I was teenager in QLD, back when we couldn't buy bongs... It does get you being creative though I've smoked out of all sorts of things; from a matchbox to a carrot. and of course the old orchy bottle with garden hose or soft drink cans with holes punched in the side... I don't miss making cones out of alunminium foil though. I'm shit enough at remembering without throwing alziemers in too..... perhaps you could export your pieces interstate, they are very proffesional and I am sure there would be plenty of shops willing to stock them... aussie made glass
^ I'll have to check out the legality of actually making utility glass in Vic after D-day, even if I don't sell it here. Like I said, I sell almost exclusively to the U.S. so I guess I should go and find out about it sooner than later. Now, for the vape, I'm pretty sure a lot of this style of vapes uses sintered glass filters. I don't have any of those in the shop anymore, because I haven't done any scientific glass in years and years and there is not much call for me to have them on hand. They're generally used in funnels to sep out impurities in a solution. So, I'm sorry, this particular thing is definitely a lot cheaper for you to buy online than for me to go and get the filters even (I know a sci who'll have them, but he's across the other side of town, probably 2 hour round drive for me) then you'll have to add the material and work time as well. thanks for asking, though

aussie made glass
thanks Armada, hopefully I'll still be able to make money from my art for a long time. Paraphernalia is just a little fun for me, out of self interest, these days, I don't rely on it at all for food and bills, I have a bunch of other things on the go This is some of my non pipe related stuff, I have heaps of images of work, but this is some of the more recent stuff: a couple of glass rattles withfurs rescued from op shops, the feathers are from natural molts or gamebirds a couple of pics of perfume bottles another marble, this time with a sabertooth skull some eye pendants, I was recently in Turkeybecause I got invited to teach this technique.Istanbul is awesome! and a larger scale sculpture collaboration withmy girlfriend who specialises in casting glass.I used real nautilus shells in this, the rest is all glass so, yes, I count myself lucky that I don't rely on making glass paraphernalia for an income anymore but it's a shame I can't do it for fun Edited October 13, 2011 by aussie made glass

I live in QLD and there are bongs for sale at all tobaconists.. cheers puka I have to say I must have been living under a rock the last few years, I just googled qld bong laws, and they most certainly are illegal to sell in QLD, I do know of some tobaconists that stock bongs though, so perhaps not really enforced to stringently.. a copy of the law can be found here QLD Bong LAw
