Darkness before harvest ?

Tried it... no discernible difference noted, wouldn't bother again. The humidity rise with an extended dark period is a mould risk and that's the last thing I want to expose my plants to pre harvest.

Been down that road did 3 days saw no difference. Biggest concern was humidity.

At week 9 of flowering, drop days gradually to 10hrs. Leave a week then cut lights completely for 3-4 days. If your temps, humidity and ventilation aren't upto scratch, don't bother.

 

Now...does it work? Anecdotal evidence says yes. Reality is I can't base findings against anything solid.

White Widow gave the impression it worked, other strains didn't.

 

Would I do it again? Nah, too much to go completely wrong.

Try it and see for yourself, only way to know...

 

Anyways I gotta get me chicken BLT and chips cooked for smoko...mmm smoko...

Some differing opinions out there. Thanks for the comments everyone. I am as it happens growing white widow so may well try this method and see how I go. Room is super well ventilated so don't think mould will be a problem. Setting to flower on Friday of this wk so watch this space.
