Advice wanted

Greenbum

Recommended Posts

Hello Stoners.

I got a few new toys recently, a pH meter & a Bluelab truncheon.

I've got no worries using & reading them...

I have noticed that the girls are drinking heaps but not eating over the past few days. Now...

We're 6-7 weeks in, flushed under a 4-5 days ago, pH is perfect, drinking 15lt a day & eating not a thing...?

The girls look fine, not stressed or anything but with these new toys of mine I am a bit. lol

Who knows they might have always done this... Anyone else had this?

Grow hard, stay safe.

Greenbum.

By 'eating not a thing' do you mean that your ec is not dropping but the nutrient level is dropping?

If that's what you mean it's not something to worry about, before I go on about it just wanna make sure that is what you mean.

If your nutrient level is dropping and your ec is rising and I'm not too stoned, I would think that would more likely indicate they are 'eating not a thing'.

Starting with 30lt/1400ppm/5.8pH. 24hrs later... 15lt/2000+ppm/6.2pH+.

Maybe they were eating minimal & drinking heaps, but they're eating & drinking like a pack of pissheads right before last call again now. :drunk:

Pull ya head in!

I apologise for putting my Question in the wrong spot, hell I'll even apologise for you having an off day, but If you want to get nosy, moderator or not... let's just leave it at that.

My question was for GENERAL HYDRO only. If I wanted to know more I would've given more. ;)

Have a nice day :)

I would say your PPM's are a tad high. You obviously want your ppm to stay stable. Keep an eye out on the fan leaves, if the corners start to look a little burned you might need another flush and to lower your. If you don't see any burning, i wouldn't really worry about it. It couldn't be a build up of salts as you said you just flushed.

Knowing what sort of hydro your running might shed a little more light.

I don't think Frazz is havin a go at ya greenbum, or being nosey, but if you want a good answer and the best advice, you need to give the peeps info on ya grow, so then they know what they are dealing with.

We don't wanna know where ya live, or in depth details of ya grow, or any shit like that.

All mediums are different, lighting is different, growing style is different, ventilation is different, nutes are different................so many variables.......

The guys here would just rather give you the right info first time, can't see nothing wrong with that.

Frazz is a top bloke, always had a good bit of advice for me and a kind word, he'd do the same for you too............... if you'd help him and not insult him.

Hope ya sorted ya problem. Peace. gh72

"Tell you what..." in my opinion comes across as being a smartass & naturally taken in that context offence was taken. Respect Wayno? If I said that to your face in that context you're telling me you wouldn't feel like smacking me in the mouth? How about something like "Knowing what sort of hydro your running might shed a little more light." I'm not looking for a fight, an argument or to upset the fort here, BUT... If you talk down to me then I will say something.

Anyway... As I was saying earlier I wasn't sure if they ALWAYS did it or whether it was something NEW?

Well after checking each day they seem to be drinking & eating in cycles. Anyone else's do this?

Ok... the details...

I'm running a 1.2x1.2x2m tent, 4 plants (Thaix) in 2x11-12lt wash tubs, grow wool, grow/budrite, superthrive, 40lt external res, circulating pump with filter in res, air stone in res, 3min feeds every 3hrs (no night feeds), 25cm ceiling fan (exhaust), passive inlet & 2x600w hps. By the time the walls of the tent are tied out it's actually about 1.4x1.4m.

I lopped the small one at the start of last week & she weighed up at 5ozs so we're happy little budgies atm.

Have a nice day :)
