needs help on growing outdoors

ive been trying to germinate sum seeds that i have and they woint germinate ive tried the papertowel and shot glass method and they dont germinate are they dud seeds or not mature enough and what soil should i use im new to this its my 2nd time growing last yr i grew 3 2 died n the last one was a male i was speewing need advice on wat to do and to get good yeild n buds.. mr.kush

how long are you leaving them in the shot glass?

 

some excellent seeds wont sprout for 3 days

Don't throw them out if all fails just put them in some soil and keep them moist the way nature intended

i left em for a week in the shot glass and and on paper towels i just planted them now so hopefully all goes good i dunno wat im doing wrong is it how i cover it or sumfyn

You are not doing anything wrong. The age of the seeds could be a factor. Some can take a week. We all have different methods. I put mine straight into the medium in small pots. Then transplant up after a week or two. You can find shit loads of info on germination in here or google. Don't get down or hard on yourself. It will come good eventually.

no need to cover it, just use plain water, put them in that for 3 days, then if they havent yet popped put them in some soil - you never know.

 

Did you squish test them before you tried this - if they will squish between your thumb and forefinger they are non viable seeds and useless to grow with

I have a sativa strain that can take up to 2 weeks to germinate, this is very good, viable seed, that grows monster plants, just takes longer than most. I've been growing for over 30 years and I have only ever used jiffy pots to get things going, then into 6" pots with GOOD soil and then when about 6-8" tall straight into their final place. Hang in their mate, it will get better.

yehh il b cheering if there monster plants r theyhard to grow n take care ov im new to growing so i dunno much i planted them yeasterday so see how we go honestly u have taught me alot by reading ur posts i grew last yr by reading sum thnks man hope it goes good

In the paper glass shot glass technique was this covered from light? It needs to be a dark place, I have a heat mat and have had no problems germing seeds between paper towel in a dark plastic container, only prob is its sealed so i ahve to check twice a day so tehy dont suffocate which isn't a problem really because I like to look, and it rarely takes longer than 24hours, the heat mat would play a big role in this i think
