Been wondering where gazz has been the last couple of months, aged over a few a few years couldn't decide what to buy in the hydro store.

i aint been around in a few years and havent been growing in that time as the cops are regularly coming to my house to check up on my nephew and his bail conditions and his often reaffending bring the pricks around here even more so its only going to be veggies from here on in unless i can find someone else with a spare bedroom but if i done that i'd likely be ripped off again as the temptation over a couple of pounds is to great to get greedy on the partners half

 

heres an update 15 days from sowing the seeds i bought mixed lettuce and mixed chilli so i have NFC whats what i also turned off the monsta grow chamber for now as the bright white fluro lights shine like daylight out of the not so light proof designed chamber im not only using the shitty LED light in the tent this LED light is pretty fucking shit i want to go with a couple 130w or a single 250w fluros the only good thing about the LED light is im only using 90watts of power to power the light other than that i wont be buying another LED light in a hurry ok enough of me having a bitch i ditched the self watering pots with perlite im going with 9x 200mm pots with 100% coco

went and bought another 250w HPS light i wish i had kept the one i sold to another member years ago ah well got a new light now this light shits all over the LED light the LED light was reading around 1900-2100 lux ths HPS is showing 3000 lux at 2 foot and covers the whole tent only problem is i think i might have heat issues im only running a 12cm computer fan for exhaust and its getting a little warm in the tent this is day 19 from seed day 1 HPS

 

to sum it up the LED light is expensive to buy it only covers whats pretty much under the light its heavy and the 3 fans are loud the good side is it does grow plants and its shit cheap to run my light is the 120w version draws 90w and puts out around equal light to a 150w MH

thanks Nay i wouldnt mind getting hold of one of the digital lux meters i was ment to buy one a couple of weeks ago but dick smiths had closed so i forgot all about it ive just been using my analog lux meter ive had for around 10 years and still works

i think im going to need to change the nutes using DM advance grow almost killed the tomato seedlings on 1/4th dose a few outdoor plants i had indoors than planted outdoors plus the outdoor seedlings that were planted the same time as indoors

i put the plants outdoors about a week ago the tomato plants are around 2 foot tall and one chilli plant is already growing chillis

forgot to water me tomato plants the other day they were around 3-4 foot long with around 20 tomatos i killed those the chilli plants are growing well with some large chillis but im yet to see a red chilli there only green and yellow

hey buffo yeah at the moment LED's are shit the light coverage is very poor and the 3 cooling fans in the 120w (really 90w) version is just to noisy plus they dont grow the plants i wont be buying another one for a long time atlease untill there redesigned i think there would be way better light coverage if each individual LED had its own cone shaped reflector how these LED lights are set up the reflector is a piece of flat reflective materiel and the outer sides make the LED's boxed in very unefficient so the light is pretty much just bouncing around inside of each LED the fan design could use one fan and draw the cool air from one side to the other side and out but they had to stick 3 fans on the one light and the fans suck from the top down thru the light than out all the sides which is abit annoying if the fans were reversed it could help with ventilation sucking in from the sides and out the top
