Hi Gazza, good to see ya back on the boards.

Have you tried aquarium suppliers for the 150w hps/mh they use those for fish tanks but there not cheap if i remember rite, but a lil hard to find in aust.

Or have a look here.

Or u will have to do it remove the sockets off the ends and replace with Aust ones.

And you can get the 150w hps/mh bulbs through Haymans Electrical, last time i got a Philips Sun-T 150w hps E40 screw in was $70, but that was at least 6 years back, so dont know how much they will be now.

Yep that the type of thing i have, they are good for veg but havent used mine for bud yet so not 100% on how they will do but must be better then clf's.

The 150w ballast i have runs both mh and hps.

I use my shade i got with my 400w setup but i cant see why u shouldent be able to use the reflector that comes with it, if anything i would remove the glass from the front of it...

yeah i seen those ones on ebay also seen 70w and 150w MH digital ballast on ebay they sure look a lot less complicated than the old style ballast the digital ballast are $40 each and the lamp holder is something like $6 that seems like a bargain all they need is the wires connected from a power lead and wires extended to the lamp holder bunnings sells dimpled alloy sheets i can knock together a couple of shades with i just have to work out what all these terms mean asthere seems to be a few different model double ended MH globes
