Roots In Holes

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I've dug five 2ft x 2ft holes for planting, however some of the holes have roots from trees or nearby shrubs going into them. I've chopped all the roots in the hole, but some still are poking in. Just wondering if this is going to be a problem ? Will the roots fight with my female's roots?

Also, one of the holes has water pooling in the botom - it's not much but if I dig down any more it would be heaps. It's the right depth hole at the moment - can I still fill it up with soil and plant there?

Thanks

heya spoonman welcome up man :applause:

what ive noticed with competing root systems they steal your plant's water, so thats going to be a fight between the two

but if water is not a problem and there is enuf water for both root system then weed will still grow pretty good

how lucky are you! .. you got a water table just below the surface :xcited:

most outdoor grows would kill for that lol .. yea if your water is just down there there should be plenty for other plants too

Cannabis doesnt like constant wet feet either, if theres too much of the root zone constantly underwater they can drown

you could put plants in pots and sit the pots inside your holes, sitting up on rocks or bricks to prevent them sitting in water at the bottom

and the roots will grow out and dangle out bottom of pot and drink without drowning

:peace:

would be making sure you account for flash floods mate....water that close to the surface sounds a lil too close for comfort imo

a dry creek can swell to well over 20 wide and 5m deep over night :uhhuh:

A friend of mine had one that went underwater for 24hrs + earlier this year , resurfaced all well .

He didn't have one that hadn't gone under so hard to compare
