True Leaves

I have been away for a few days and the other half has been baby sitting the little ones. On my return tonite I have notice the tips one the first true leaves have gone brown and the rest of the leaves are yellowing. And one two seedlings the browning is extending to the stem.

 

Each seedling is in its own pot, the potting mix is yates thrive premium mix. They all get about 11hrs of sun each day. They have been getting water when the saucer they are in is completely dry underneath. They have been feed with liquid vermicast. I use a 10 litre watering can and make up a solution that is like weak tea. I think it could be a nutrient deficiency but cannot work out what. Could it be the liquid vermicast?

How old are they mate?

If I had to guess I would say you're overfeeding them. Lay off the nutes and give em plain water for a while.

What is the n-p-k of your liquid vermicast? You may have low nitrogen content, you should also check your PH levels as it could also be a nutrient block.

I,ve got to pick up a new pH test kit this week. But as for the n-p-k of the liquid vermicast, how is the best way to test it home made vermicast. I ran a large composting system where everything is placed into it. Once this has broken down to a medium texture it is then feed to the worms.
