best perpetual garden medium

Recommended Posts

i wish to run a perpetual garden and am wondering what the best medium/setup to use is , im tossing up between a satellite system with expanded clay balls or two flood and drain tables with rockwool (im not interested in coco) ......i think the rockwool would be easier to use in a perpetual set up , as its simply a matter of transfering between flood tables.........however i plan to grow fairly large plants with a decent veg and the clay balls/pots seem to have the edge .....do clay balls need to be replaced each crop or can they be washed and re-used ?.......

rockwool , be hard to stay on top of ? egh , not much give in it or margin for error , unless you got good grow exp .. :bongon: /?

personally i hate all mediums , so i'd go with perlite , course .. and a layer of clay balls on bottom of pots and on top ..

wash and use all again with sieve , big containers whilst sucking down very large joint ..
