there is absolutely nothing substantial in that thread other than rumour mongering generated by "feral" whoever he is. Not that I care about superbud one way or the other, I don't plan to use the stuff. But until someone produces some solid evidence there's only so much weight you can give to these rumours.

Yeh Ive read that via a link at overgrow...quite interesting reading...and like I keep saying....its under testing currently in australia as are many other hydro chemicals as its a pretty unregulated market...

You culd put a radioactive isotope in your growth formula and none would bat a glowing eyelid....

Hopefully tis will change shortly....our safety is at stake .....long term

Heh heh... I see your point pipe, but really, isn't it up to SB and similar products to be proven safe before they are released to the market.... Honestly, it wouldn't be happening if DM simply told the truth, whatever that may be. What is there to hide? the actual proportions don't have to be released... Just the ingredients... Unless there is something wrong, and they're desperate to keep it quiet.

The hydroponics industy is in a bloody awful position, as they are essentially servicing a black market industy and subculture. The lack of regulation is born out of prohibition... IMO. End prohibition and regulating the sale of hydroponic, crop specific nutrients and additives will be much easier... There must be millions and millions of dollars wasted by growers on shit products, all because some suit-wearing, necktie noosed, anal retentive 1950's arsehole thinks I'm not wise enough to make my own choices about which recreational drugs I take. It will be highly interesting to see how this whole thing pans out with DM... One thing's for sure tho, it's rocky times ahead for DM.... Honest brokers or not. :)

Some years ago I was handed a book to read with the ominous title of "Advanced Hydroponics" or something similar. So I opened the thing and was truely bamboozled within the first page, it was truely heavy going. It was a genuine text book for legitamate hydroponic commercial goings on.

One thing I did glean from it though was the use of certain concentrates. It suggested using x amount of this and that for great tomatoe growth, and cucumbers, and so on. But one thing that stood out in my mind was the incredibly fine lines they spoke of when dealing with chemicals that "could be carcinagenic". They said things like so many PPM of this concentrate was fine, but don't exceed it, as any stronger may cause cancer.

Now it raised a couple thoughts in my mind. The obvious one of course was, what about extended exposure to the "safe" levels of the chem, and what about a tomatoe gardener that was in need of extra $$ for some reason. Would he be tempted to put a couple extra drops in?

It was a lot of years ago now, and it's all a bit fuzzy, but I've outlined the concern bascially right, I'm sure. So it seems from what I read in that book, it's not just the black market that seems to be operating a bit blind, it seems the whole industry is moving so quick, that testing is being left behind perhaps?

Anyway, just a thought.

cheers

rob.

PS. I reckon superbud's fine. I've been smoking some gear lately that's been exposed to the stuf, and apart from this lump growing from the side of my neck no obvious changes seem to be happening.
