Hey peeps, considering doing my 1st breeding using a male auto and a reg female i have in preflower, just curious if to i have it the right way around?....or should i have a remale auto and a reg male and cross that way to produce auto beans??...just curious if that really matters? Also if i like what i produce id keep crossing it with itself to create a stable line? Any help would be grouse

You'd choose the very best of plants - Best growth, trichome coverage... Whatever you're looking for in your end result plants.

To get auto beans, easiest way? Breed 2 autos together. I think like 99% of seeds should be autoflower. Something like that.

Breeding photoperiod and autoflower varieties together, your first grow out of the seed will yeild some autos and some photoperiod plants - you'd choose the autos to breed back to the auto parent (I beleive you said dad), and maybe you'd have to back cross it a few times as well to assure a 100% auto strike rate..

I dont know, take everything I say with a grain of salt, but this is BASIC auto breeding as I understand it

Just curious, why would you want to breed autos of all things?

Cheers for stating the obvious AJ, just as i said, i have a few females on hand, actually in preflower and had a couple males auto's here and was curious on how to cross a reg line into a auto correctly, hence after i'd read many a different story on how others have tried, i thought id start a thread and get an educated and experienced auto grower/breeder input, so when ya ready shroomy, lol

From what ive gathered personally i'd be better of goin with a female auto for a higher auto seed germ in the f1's, cross those to each other, some say back to the mother, most said to eachother, and keep goin till ya get stability, always crossing plants with the same pheno's or closest till im happy with what i have and a stable line...

i have done a few regular females with an auto male and some strains you will get 25% auto the first time around and some strains ya might get only 1 and i have got as many as 50 % then start a whole batch again and keep ya lights 18 hrs and keep a real close eye on them and when ya catch the auto females and males pollinate them and do i again and again so on and after 4-5 times ya will have a stable fully auto and i also did it with a female auto and put a big reg. hollands hope into it didn't work worth a dam !! just my experience with autos...
