swapping Plants Light spectrums

Recommended Posts

Hey guys so i got 2 girls under 12/12 with 800w of HPS, I'm also vegging a couple of strains in a cupboard under a 150w CFL ( one of those big mofos from the hydro shop)its a blue light spectrum....i was wondering... when i wake up in the morning i take my vegging plants out of the cupboard and put them into the tent with the HPS and the 2 girls flowering ...just before lights out i'll take them back out and back into the cupboard where they'll receive another 6 hours of light then a few hours sleep, then i repeat the process the next day,

can switching these plants light spectrums confuse them/stress them? I can notice good growth when there in the tent with the HPS but when there under the CFL i dont notice much really...i'm abit confused...

Thanks all and happy growing

the blue spectrum is designed to add more foliage growth ... the red spectrum is designed for compact bud growth.....the swap in intensity shouldnt stress em out too much and the light spectrum change shouldnt stress em out either.....providing they get the same amount of light time, all the time :uhhuh:

but i could be wrong

im still half asleep :faint:

yea uncle chron pretty much hit the nail on the head for your situation havik and its great to see you going along so well :applause:

what this also shows you is the difference in energy that is available to the the plant between CFL and HPS light

all da best with 'em :peace:
