Brisbane out door winter grow

Recommended Posts

Sativas are actually poorly suited to canada and northern europe outdoor climates , but not queensland :o

Since the rogue police commisioner sir terrance philiip , disappeared and sir joky whatever they call those folk , And a couple of women got murdered by police etc, fucked out state up and left society to even out by, no other that's right everyday citizens.. certainly not queensland state police officers surely, least not the ones i've met lol.

I've considered growing a plant .. just one in the botanic gardens.

psttt , don't tell anyone k it's the perfect grow spot.

Yeah thats true, it was indica varieties that were growing in similar climates to the Brisbane winter, but it got me inspired to have a go with what i had.

hey, I'm growing in the Botanic gardens as well. :bleh: ............bloody hell, ive gone and told every one. :wallbash: oh well if they get ripped then its my fault

Thanks for the tips guys, it seems I might have a bit better grasp on things then I realise :)

One thing I did forget to ask, is what time of year your summer grows tend to start budding?

It will depend on the strain and your lattitude, but I have seen flowering start as early as mid-January. Sativas are more known for flowering a bit later and for longer (eg. 10 to 12 weeks).

In Brisbane. I have a couple of Indica but I believe the rest are mostly Sativa so I guess it'll be later harvest for me... Which could pose a problem...

I know it would be a lot of hassle, but has anyone tried forcing flowering early outside, by covering up the plant a few hours before sunset so it thinks the days are shorter?

hey firebug

Last year I started covering my balcony plant at about 5 pm and uncovering at about 6 am . It was moreso to shield her from the city lights (gold coast ) , but the result was that she came into bud a lot earlier than her stay up sisters. You just need to be consistent withe timing or you could turn her hermi .

Cheers man, good to hear from someone with experience and in the same area of Oz :)

How long did u do the covering ritual for? First week, few weeks, or whole flowering period?
