CANNABIS GROWER CONVICTED AFTER RINGING POLICE

 

Police called to a burglary ended up arresting the victim for

cultivating cannabis after they discovered an indoor growing operation.

 

Ellen Margaret Polwart, 32, called police to her property south of

Whangarei on October 12 after her house had been trashed and burgled.

 

Police prosecutor Sergeant Mike Moohan told Whangarei District Court

last week that as police examined the house they discovered equipment

set up in a bedroom being used to grow cannabis.

 

Polwart pleaded guilty before Judge Semi Epati to cultivating cannabis

and was convicted and fined $500.

 

She told police two cannabis plants she had been growing had been

stolen in the burglary.

 

So this is how they "help" a victim of burglary in New Zealand.

How could they have arrested her tho.... If the plants were stolen what could they get her for unless they left the roots and shit......

If I had to guess I would say she was flustered and confessed. She probably didn't care, the $250 fine is peanuts compared to the insurance claim she'll make. If she doesn't have insurance, well, it was a silly move to call the cops anyway IMO.

pretty much exact same thing happened to me, but I told that story too many times, anyways cops are fat stupid cunts, I'll bet Ellen Margaret Polwart had priors for growing and they checked that before they left.
