canna terra

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had tried the canna terra potting mix outdoors? Is it complete or should extra's be added and also does it need lots of water. ?? Does it yeild ? Lots of questions I know

Cheers in advance

I use it and have used it. I have a raised garden bed for veggies. Used canna terra in the bed mixed with worm castings in pig shit and some perlite for better drainage. It is not cheap compared to other brands. I think the extra expense is worth it. Have grown a couple of plants in it and I found after a while you get to know when to start using nutes. With the worm castings I only use nutes in the water every second or third waterings outdoors. Great stuff for pots outside and in side. If you are using it pots outdoors I usually water until I get run off. Same as indoors. No set rules on how much water you need. I just lift the pots up and feel how heavy they are. Lift the pots dry then water until run off, then lift again and feel the weight difference.

The first pic Pure Power Plant outside canna terra. 1lb

The second pic White Ice indoors (although I fucked up the nutes as I was growing some auto flowering plants at the same time and they were nutrient sensitive.) 6ozs

 Make sure the canna veg is for soil and not hydro. If soil I would use it depending on the age as it does breakdown over time. I use terra nutes but have been using Yates fish emulsion with just as good results. Make sure you check the bottle description as some fish emulsion is just for the roots and nothing else.

Yep first move since 1975. I will just keep smoking joints to relieve the stress.:applause::blink:
