second grow attempt

Recommended Posts

hi guys can you give a friend of mine some advise on his plants. i joined the site yesterday for advise on my greenhouse plant but i told my friend about this site and he has asked me to do a post for him.. the strain is THE CHURCH they are 3 weeks old taken from small cuttings. he has a 250 watt cfl vegging bulb at the moment but is going to use the 600 watt hps after he goes 12/12. this his his second grow as the first failed he thinks due to over watering (everyday). could some of you experts look at the pics and give your opinions please. by the way i am loving reading your posts and looking at the pics. cheers.

hey mate....it seems you have a soiless mix there which likes specific nutrients and plenty of drainage.

from my experience with coco/perlite, which is similar but different  i let the mix dry right out between feeds :uhhuh:

doing this causes the roots to grow/search for the moisture and food, which in turn creates an bigger root mass :) ..... which obviously makes for a bigger healthier plant :yahoo:

apart from the over watering theory, you`re gonna need to give us a few more details......like whats nutrient and ph levels? ...whats the ventilation like?...humidity & temp levels if possible :scratchin:

hope that helps a bit mate :)

yes thanks uncle chron...ph levels are smack on at 6.4 and feed at the moment is plagron terra grow which he will change to terra flower when 12/12. ventilation is constant with 2 back ventilation ducts and a extractor out. with ocilating fan inside for rotating air. temp is night 75 day 85. thanks for your reply... do the plants look ok for 3 weeks ?

yeah the plants look fine, maybe do a test run with one plant and let it dry out a bit more between drinks ....and just feed the others like ya are

im not familiar with indoor terra requirements, regarding ph, but if its the same as soil, outdoor, the ph is pretty good

from my experience, soil does like a good drink, but it doesn't like to stay drenched :uhhuh: ....best to keep soil just moist

temps sounds pretty good too  ....though if thats what ya getting with a 250wcfl, you`re definitely gonna notice the rise with the 600w ... probly gonna need another exhaust .... or cooltube setup :uhhuh:

good luck with it :bongon:
