Growlush vs can centrifugal fan

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Planning to get the centrifugal fan now, gonna go 400w grow space so it should be on the lower cfm side.

Just want ppl's opinions of the two fans below. The grow lush (440cfm 155watts) has 2.14 times more cfm than the Can Fan(205.5cfm 65watts) however it is 2.5 times more wattage. The growlush is a bit cheaper. both 150mm.

Would I need the extra cfm from the growlush or save the electricity with the can fan?

have ppl had experience with the two fans below?

Growlush fan

Can fan

Hey GS

What are you using the fan for? Is it just for venting on its own, or is it attached to a carbon filter or maybe a cooltube? How big is your grow space? I'm using a westaflex 150mm (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WESTAFLEX-150MM-CENTRIFUGAL-INLINE-FAN-62W-130L-SEC-/400146379888) attached to my carbon filter venting out the top of my 1.4 x 1.4 x 2 tent (600w light). Air turnover seems to be pretty sweet, and plenty of negative pressure. Any larger for my fan and it would probably rip the tent off the frame lol

Also, think there are some threads here on the site in regards to the different ebay suppliers, make sure you have a good read of them before making any purchases

Yea westaflex seems to be the more efficient and higher output.

oh btw lighting for vege, I gonna use either cfl or buy an aquarium T5 is it better to have low wattage (20-50 watts) in higher numbers(4-6) or high wattage (130-180watts) in low numbers (1-2)

I guess the low wattage in high numbers will be cooler than the high wattage in low numbers?

Cheers
