pipeman tries to rescue his sorry grow

A lot of smoke/bong shops are starting to sell vapes now. Just look around. I got mine from the smoke shop in Vulture St. West End, near the optomitrist. I've also seen them at Off Ya Tree in the Qheen St Mall and Smokemart on the top floor in Carindale Shopping Centre.

OK I got question. Instead of wrapping my buckets in black tape like last time I'm gonna use panda film (thanks for the tip whitecluster). its the black & white stuff. I'm assuming I wrap it around the buckets white side out. Is this correct?

that thick stuff is bullshit.

My hydro store recently told me to get the thick stuff cos the thinner stuff isn't light tight and the crop will glow outside. Funny seeing that my crops haven't been glowing for the last few years. Anyways when hydro stores tell you that shit tell them to fuck off, @ a diff of like 3-4 bucks a lineal metre, you'll save heaps of money in the end.

Anyways, Why not just lay your panda film over the top of all your buckets?? It took me a few years to figure that one out :D , but its way better than wrapping buckets individual looks much nicer and gives good reflection when the plants are young, also saves alot of money. You dont really need to get down in there.

That musta cost shitloads to wrap em in tape.

Anyways good luck with your next one and hope you get no problems this time, whats going in???

Its not that expensive to wrap em in tape, a roll of tape that costs like five bucks does 2 buckets. I don't use many buckets so its not expensive, just the hassle to do it. To do one bucket and lid takes ages.

whats happening, well, not much. I'm working like a dog lately and pretty tired. I bought some panda film, I don't think its the thick stuff, but it looked good enough. The guy in the hydro store had some interesting things to say, like you need your main fans on intake rather than exhaust that way you ensure you get fresh air to your plants, and telling me how my inlet duct should be close to the floor to pick up cold air. Also when he grew in sheds he dug a trench in the ground and put his intake duct in there to suck up cold air from the earth. Then dig another big hole outside and fill it with gravell and plant some plants there and duct his exhaust into the gravell underground as smell control. I pretended to be interested in what he was saying.

hee hee... The normal stuff is fine WC and pipe, I just use it cos it lasts a little longer, and it's a little more resistant to tearing.

:P on the hydroshops... A 1/4 cent for every piece of shit advice given to a prospective grower by hydro shops, I'd be a billionaire.... But honestly, it depends where ya go... if you're going to a shop which is obviously giving shit advice, should you really be going there? ;)

Unless you can stand listening to crap and they have good prices that is... :D

Oh yeah, and on the panda film as a direct cover... yeah, I do that with cut outs sometimes for growool or media plants... it's like you say, great reflection for young plants, and keeps shit out of the plants pot too... easy to clean as well... I used to use a fairly large coverall sheed with some holes cut in to cover the res, which sat directly under the plants... it used to get all kinds of dirt, spent stigmas and crap falling down and making a mess... When I put in the sheet and hooked it up, it was like a big catching net, as well as adding a few extra lumens in reflection below... (not really much tho) and all I did to clean was take it out, rinse it off/wipe it off and replace. Simple.

:o

I don't care, I don't go to hydro shops for advice, I got Oz Stoners. I just go there to buy what I need. I've come to enjoy it, I just play dumb and listen to all their bullshit. Good for a chuckle. ;)

A closer pic of the surviving mums. see all them black specs on the floor? thats dead scarid fly :D the tall thin things are garlic plants. I gave them couple doses pyrethrum this week and the mites appear to be gone, or at least inactive

These plants are on deaths door, I hope I can save em....I plan to pull em, spray the soil off the roots and get em going in bubblers. If the mites return I think I'll use mite rid. I'm trying to prepare bubblers today so maybe do the changeover tomorrow.

strains I got there are Misty, White Rhino, Shiskeberry. A clone of the dead AK99 survived in my cloning tub.
