hydro?

Recommended Posts

hey guys, is there some kind of consensus as to the best indoor hydro system, or is it all personal preference?

also i get the impression that a shower recess may not be so handy as i thought, its a standard 3x3x7f shower, with three enclosed white walls, inside a small ensuite bathroom with a sink. with all the talk of fans etc is this a viable option?

ideally i want to grow 4 plants indoors, probly hydro, can i do it in the shower?

cheers guys for your help.

yeah mate hydro systems are mostly personal preference. My personal opinion is that bubblers are one the easiest systems to build and run, use bugger all medium which is what I like most about them and you get amazing growth. but really, any hydro system run right you get amazing growth.

shower is a most excellent place to grow your pot, but only if you don't use the bathroom at all. The humidity created from regular bathroom use will more than likely give you mould problems. also the grow will need to be lightproof during flower.

Personal preference mainly, but you'll be inundated with replies more than likely  And most of the growers on this site have pretty tidy set-up's, have a suss around and you'll get onto something that suits you.

As for your recess......can you install an exhaust fan? Most bathrooms have em' anyway, but if not, you'd definitely want to add some sort of ventilation, as well as air flow ( pedestal fan or something). They're pretty easy to install, and cheap.

It actually sounds quite neat. As long as you make sure you got plenty of airflow, especially with HID's. Get's pretty hot under there :D

Air flow is important for stem growth as well, you don't want a reedy little plant that won't hold your budz lol You'll find plants that have a nice bit of air circulation through them will have much stronger stems (like their outdoor cousins lol ) And buds with a nice bit of airflow around them are more likely to stay mould free.

And fresh air, not exhausted air. No point having it pulled out and back into the same room, you have to have some sort of air exchange. I'm sure you'll get a few ideas by the end of the day :B): There's a few of the guys about today, they'll help you out.
