cfl grow and harvest time? Opinions on this girl please!

Hey folks,

 

First grow, in organic soil under cfl's (180watts in a white box, using Dutch master grow for my flowering nutes...

 

I'm 11 and a half weeks into flowering and shes now over 3ft tall with very juicy buds all over and just one main cola, the cola which seems to have a fair bit of stretch but we learn from our faults but is still at least a foot long while most buds are from about 20cm long. (I sampled the smoke and it’s quiet potent, and I smoke lots from Vancouver)

 

Any who, I'm after some expert opinions and feedback on my first grow.

Just bag seed so I don’t know what strain it is hence me not really knowing how long the flower period is, but appears mostly sativa.

 

Also the pistils are changing brown, the resin and trics are getting fairly heavy all over and many of the fan leaves have turned yellow and dropping off, but the buds are still swelling.

 

So have a gander at the pics and let me know what you think, how long she is away from harvest (the trics are still clear)? I started flushing today regardless in the hope it will be very soon. Also any estimates on how much I should harvest from this little girl?

First off any reason your using DM grow nutes during flowering?

 

Even though your 11.5 wks into flower it still looks to need another cpl/few weeks. Only got 5-10% amber pistils, and I bet if you check the trichs under a loupe they still be mostly clear.

 

I'd say the reason for this is a combination of strain, using CFL's, and possibly the nute situation I asked about above.

 

While she's a nice big healthy gal, those calyx's aren't swollen and the buds are almost see through and will dry very airy. Harvesting right now would be a waste.

 

Can only advise to give her check with loupe, give her a cpl more weeks and harvest regardless.

 

Start over with a more indica strain and hopefully get a more powerful light in there.

I will keep an eye on the color of the trics with a loupe.

 

I'm using dutch master flowering which is 2-4-1, which seemed like a happy balance for flowering and i ordered online which they suggested I use, I also give a bit of molasses..? What nutes would you suggest for the indica seedlings I have growing atm when i switch them to flowering?

 

thanks for the tips, I have the 130watt cfl' right up close to the main cola and 2 X 25watt cfl's below on the lower buds which are much denser....

Hey again.

 

The only reason I mentioned the nutes was because you said 'grow' nutes. So long as it's a flowering A+B then your all good for whatever strain you want to throw at it.

 

Unless you are using a totally organic properly prepared soil to grow in, molasses is absolutely useless. It attracts pest indoors actually.

hay mate some sativas go 14 / 16 weeks ,could be the lights ?? not sure about cfl's never used em , plants look great

I will keep on posting pics week by week and gather some more opinions as I get nearer harvest o'clock.

hello guys,

 

12.5 weeks now into flower, so I need to show you some new pics in the hopes of some helpful responses with harvest time.

 

*Pistils are now mostly brown and calyx have swollen more.

*Pics should show heavier Trics clusters.....are these clear or cloudy do you think?

 

What do you think estimate? 1 more week at least till shes ripe? I have been very patiently waiting for the day to arrive
