LOSS OF POWER!

Someone has decided to clean the garage and in the process found my power lead then turned it off. I found it about 1 hour before the lights were due to go off. Does anyone think this will fuck with my plants?

 

Also im seeking advice from anyone who knows a bit about power to ask, if I can cut the power line and splice in the wires of my power lead? on top of this I have lost the key to the cab and have no way to check my timer!!!

 

have similar things happened to others and if so how did your grow turn out?

I dont think it will hurt then to much as long as it dose not happen all the time but some other growers mite be able to give a bit better advice.

 

With what u want to do with the power cord i would not recomend it as u do not want to play around with power if u do wrong u could be in a lot of shit.

yeah extra bit of dark isn't going to hurt your lants. fuck splicing your power lead, what you wanna do that for? buy a longer lead or another lead and join it on. why take risks when you don't have to...

 

I made sure I bought cabinets with locks, for security, but I always leave the key in the lock anyway. ::

The odd isolated incident like this will not do any harm to your plants.

Keep it on the plug and switch as it is, there are times when you need to shut down in a hurry, just make sure that people know to leave it alone.

ok great but dont it sound a bit sus saying “dont turn that lead off” “why” would be asked “why? cause it ahhhh umm.....” also if someone follows the unknown lead to its source they find it going into my wardrobe. This raises delicate questions anyone got a good idea for why a cord is going into a wardrobe that hums and glows slightly apart from growing pot?

My first grow was like that, It was a grow of mine at a mates place.

Anyway he got paranoid and turned the light off for 7 days, it was in hydroton. I thought it was dead for sure but nothing changed it didnt effect it?? weird I mean its roots didnt have water and anything for 7 days .

 

I researched in to it and it appears that It can cause some plants to grow male flowers or even go hermie, similar things but not the same.

Not sure how helpful without knowing your exact cicrumstances but here goes... with the power cord is it possible to run it under then over the roof bannisters or is the roof of garage installed?... I have seen power cables hidden inside gardening or irragation lines then run along the floor/wall behind stuff.. It may even be possible to add a new 15 amp circuit from the power box but i wouldnt advise taking that on without some previous sparky experience...

DONT FUCK WITH ELECTRICITY...u'll end up dead or in a severe amount of pain if u dont know what ur doing...but im with stonedas, try and hide the cord the best u can...and snakes are a mad excuse, its perfect for the heat, light and humming sound and if any1 wants to take a look say its a vicious fucker that'll go for the eyes and it should keep people away

its more hiding the plug not the line If someone can see the powerpoint is on they turn it off..... This is what im trying to avoid.
