there are lots of ferns and crap at the top of the hill and when it rains nutrients would get washed down with the water so i might not even really need to give the plants much fertaliser...

Thatd be good but I doubt it - grab some urea and potash salts to sprinkle around if the nutrient level isnt great - itll last for a few years unless you grow big crops. Also, hows your PH level?

Aim for at least 3" of added height per week of growth IMO.

I HAVE BEEN GROWING OUTSIDE SINCE THE 70S,wE HAVE FOUND THAT IT IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO GO WAY OUT.tHE DEER HUNTERS GO THERE TOO MUCH,AND IF YOU PUT YOUR PLANTS JUST OFF THE EDGE OF THE ROAD OR JUST ON THE SIDE OF A POWERLINE RIGHT A WAY. OUR FINDINGS SHOW... PUT IT WHERE YOU WOULD NOT THINK SOMEONE WOULD DARE PUT A PLANT.THEY WILL MAKE IT
