Help!

My seedlings have 4 sets of leaves but the leaves only have 3 prongs ? whats goin on or is this just normal ?

plants sometimes have mutations as young seedlings but often grow out of it. If they basically look healthy I wouldn't worry.

A few years back i grew 4 plants (out doors) i only put in 6 seeds 4 came up and out of the 4 that come up 2 dident even look like mj, thay got to about 5 inchers high and went to bud (i have never seen if before and have not seen it againg) in the middle of summer, thay got to about a foot tall and had to harvest early as thay matured so quick i got about 2 1/2 ouncers of them from memeroy dryed, so as pipeman said if thay look healthy i would not worrey about it

I tend to see this when the seedling loses some vigor. Dont worry about it too much and it could be a mutation although Ive never seen it lasting very long except with a bonsai MJ plant I seen years ago. Itll probably grow sets with more leaves soon.

 

The plant I have outside which is flowering at 4" had a brother/sister that was growing its 3rd node with sets of only 3 leaves but it died from 'the infestation'.

normal mj is meant to go 1,3,5, etc untill it reaches its maxium number of blades...i have found in every single seed that i have planted that either the 3's or 5's grow twice even 3 times in a row untill it goes onto the next set of leaves...

 

i wouldnt worry about it, but rather just keep an eye on it to see if the plant acts weird in any way...nothing should go weird but u never know

1, 3, 5, 7, 9 is nice - I had fat 10" long deep green fan leaves at the 6th node on vigorously growing plants that grew 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 from bagseed on my first grow - organic [iIRC] flood and drain hydro with expanded clay under a 400W Son-T Agro. First real grow so I thought that growth-rate was normal for a while.

I think the problem has started to correct itself.

Good to know that there are people to talk to about these little things that come with growing mj
