Clone/seedling box fan

Hi there

 

I have built a 50cm x 50cm x 80 cm high box to sprout seeds and root clones , it only has a 18 watt light does it need a fan to keep fresh air Coming in?

nah , should be ok so long as you are opening and closing the box daily that would prevent stale air in there

My nursery is not quite as big as yours. About 450mm square and 750mm tall. I'll be running 4 x 20w CFL's once all has germed, only runnig 2 at the moment.

 

I have a passive inlet and two PC fans on the outlet to keep the air changing over as I found that it gets pretty bloody hot inside otherwise. Having said that, I'm running nearly 3 times the lighting as yourself so it's to be expected.

 

If it doesn't get too hot, I agree with Frazz, should be right.
