bita help with flowering.

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

pretty sure its up to week 7 of flower but they still seem pretty small.

I may have really miss calculated the time here or just forgotten by the looks of it. There's that and i think the cold has really slowed them down a bit too. Im in a 6 foot tent big enough for 2 plants with an oscilating fan and heat chord around the pots for a little extra warmth. (400hps)

im not sure what to do feed wise tho now. Obviously i dont wanna start bringing it down if they arent ready.

I was hoping for some insight if posssible.

Im using Canna A/B and Rizho. Ive been adding a product called uptake after i ran out of Boost. and ive been adding molasses to bring up the rest of my ec after ive mixed the nutes.

Ive been thru the PK stage which i thought was week 2 and a half, for 10days or so.

Any thoughts?

i will throw up a pic maybe that might idicate where there things are at.

Im happy with the way things are going just dunno where they are feed wise.

Does anyone think Canna A/B should be cut during flowering and use more of a flowering nute?

cheers.

What is the strain?

What are they growing in?

Looks healthy but not ready. Seems they are producing good resin so they are happy. Maybe you are a week or more wrong with your count.

You are using the Canna flowering nutes? They are a very good product.

yep using Canna A+B, not necessarily for flowering, just an all over nute from start to finish apparently.

Growing in coco, and perlite,

one WWidow, one Wrinho.

Water everyday, 5.8 ph,

currently 2.1 ec level with tap water starting @ .89 <( i know, she be pretty high huh?)

would you suggest then possibly they are at week 6?

This means i can pretty much just leave the nute levels as is then which is good.

They definately arent ready for sure. I was gonna try and get tricky on this grow tho, and dial it in on the last 2 weeks with the nutes and flush but timing it right i guess is the key.

Cheers for the reply mate.

Well, its very common for white widow to take up to 11 weeks and white rhino can take 10 weeks.

If you are at 6 weeks now they could have a good 5 weeks left. So, they should be looking pretty good in 4 weeks. Yeah, wait at least 3-4 weeks before even thinking about finishing them

Personally never used start to finish nutes. I always change from veg to flower but i think your plants look fine. Just be prepared to take it a bit longer than expected.

with finishing, i will be stopping the nutes completely at some point , but wanted to starve them down a bit first ya know? Go about 2 weeks on .09ec.

Hey fread.

A few things come to mind reading your post.

You can stop using rhizo in flowering.

Molasses is crap - not sure if your in soil or hydro but honestly i'll slap you if your not using soil lol.

Did you use Canna PK13-14? if so did you read the label? it says to use 3wks from harvest (often wk 5), for 1 week only.

What do you mean A/B should be cut during flowering? Are you using veg or flores canna nutes? There is an A+B for each growth period... sounds like you aren't sure on that lol.

Somehow they look rather frosty and healthy though! Keep chuggin'...

Cheers

Yup have read the bottle before on the PK, but i do a fair bit of reading online too. I get a tad obssesed with shit, so i go looking for other methods, i just cant help myself.

I was reading tho, the general consenus seems to be at week 2 and a half for the PK. the plant seems to have a window of preference and thats it apparently. End of the day tho im still learning, so yeah, could be all wrong.

Ive had no burning tho.

The Canna Coco A+B i have, says to mix = parts for vege and bloom phase. I was just querying the use of it the whole way thru.

Hey.

In my current grow i've used the canna pk for the first time, so I also went looking for info on it. I have to say I never saw a credible or otherwise post/info that mentioned 2.5wk mark. Everything I read was more along the lines of what's on the back of label. Because strains vary so much I also read that you can judge the best window to use it by starting when the cola's start to form loose spirals. I've never seen this around the 2-3wk mark, usually 4-5. Makes sense to me that's when they go into heavy flowering mode.

But hey whatever works. Also If i'm not mistaken the recipe/instructions have both changed over the years, and by region of purchase.

I'm not familiar with the canna coco nutes, I assumed they had separate veg/flores bottles like the rest of the range..?

Hey mate,

The coco has just the one A+B.

I found that lit. for you. Yer right on the week 5 but can also go the 2 and a half. Have a read its pretty cool. That whole thread is good to be honest i found it informative.

I think part of the blame for folk believeing their plants are small lies with the seed sellers.

"Flowering time 60 days" etc etc is very deceptive.

White widow can be twice that long before it even starts to ripen.

Then one must leave it for another 30 days at least before harvesting if you want a nice smoke.

Not only White widow but just about every type of seed/plant

Don't take any notice of the specs given by seed retailers..or maybe just double the flowering time they mention in their adds.
