best strain 4 outdoors in south australia?

i need some sugesgions on what strain of seeds to buy,im growing out doors in south australia.i would like a nice big plant that produces...alot!

First thing I`d do is head to the outdoor growing section, then maybe read the general cultivation section.

thanks for the suggestion ill def look in to it.do you know much about haze?like how big and how much it produces and i suppose it will grow allrite in south australia

I know someone in SA that just finished an original haze x sk#1 and will probably end up with 4-6 pound dry.......big enough for ya?

I know the Lincoln area , & if thats where u truly at .. you can plant just about anything, & if the soil is prepared reasonably, & the water kept up to her ,

you'll get a monster out of any strain, 'cept pure indicas. Its total blasting sun out there , a LOT of the time

 

I'd aim for a sativa dom. hybrid , & dont bother spendin HUGE dollars buying the latest Cup Winner,.. old school hazes, skunks etc will see you right

If your growing outdoors, its not a good time of year to be starting...

not just light period but it must be getting cold round that area?

 

As for strains, I would grow 2 of each strain of say... 5 different strains that sound good to you...

Do a test grow with these 5 strains to see which grows quicker and yeilds more (and can handle the colder areas)

Then clone the best performers and have them ready to plant outdoors in spring time, not yet

 

I was impressed with the AK47, huge buds and covered in trichomes, more than the other strains in the same environment

But also sk#1 big yeilder for me, I think resinate recommended for you

I had problems with the buds being too big so that mold can develop inside due to lack of airflow

 

Also the AK was the strongest in seedling stage, growing quicker in same environment

The sk#1 struggled to get started

 

Of course all this could be down to the quality of the seeds i started with, rather than the strain as a whole. Maybe I just got AK seeds from a top dealer and didnt realise

G'day Waterboy.

 

As the other lads said, any of the Sativa's will grow pretty big, and most crop pretty well. I've been growing some sativa from Nth Qld down here in Victoria and they grew to about 7 foot and returned a decent yield, except for the 2 biggest that were ripped off, though they would have given a kilo each. Lots of luck and keep us informed as to how it goes. :guitar:
