Canna Beer

Hey all wile i was in syd i got 2oz's of small bush buds avarge smoke given to me by a mate who had a over supply of it so when i got back home i did a home brew with 10grams of it as i done some reading here and talking to some of the other members that liked to do hame brews and have tryed canna beer said it was grate so i gave it a go and this is how i went about it

 

1st i the 10 grams i am useing for the brew i soked in boiling water for an hour to get rid of some of the green out of it, this was done 3 time,

 

2nd i got a 1.7kg bitter brew pack and 2kgs of dextroce made up as normal add yeast and then seal,

 

3rd i waited 24 hours for the fermenting to start got a stocking washed and sterilsed it, placed mj in side ans then cut off the toe part tied in a knot and then placed in beer and left to frement for 8 days, then left another 2 day to help clear the beer then i botteled 28 bottles.

 

It will be about another 2 weeks until i can try it to see if it worked or not only time will tell so hers fingers crossed, after i try it i will let ya know how it went good or bad and make it better for next time

 

p.s.and the beer is about 7.5% alc

I reckon that a few of the members will be interested in how it turns out, home brewing is also a way of creating CO2 for the grow room.

I do some home brewing too. I'd be interested to know how this compares with using hops.

Hey all well i tryed my 1st canna beer last night ( a lil too early to really be drinking but i just could not wait until it fully mature to see what it was like) i opened up a bottle when i had me dinner it was a lil lite on fizz as it needs to sit longer to carboinate propley so i pured me self a glass and took a big mouth full not knowing to expect, if it would tast like green or some other tast to but to my suprize it was ok no funny after tast or anything, so ok i finnished the bottle off (i opened it at 6pm) about two hours after dringing it i started to feal nice and mellow and relaxed and u know that worm dopy fuzzy fealing you get and by about 10.30 i started to fall a sleep witch i loved because for the last week or so i have not been able to get to sleep before 3 in the morning and up againe at 6 when my little boy comes down and wakes me up so yer me canna beer turned out ok for the 1st try i think when it fully matures i will give all another up date

 

p.s my next canna beer i will be hopefully makeing at the end of this grow i have just started i should have my keg set up by the as well i hope and i will be useing about 1/4oz of bud leaf and a 1/4oz of buds (u know the lil ones that do not quit grow very big at tbe bottom of an in door plant ) and the beer will pushed up from 7.5 to around 10%alc to try and get a bit more of the thc out

 

p.s.s chief23 i am only fearly new at home brewing but learning more every day i dont really know what hops are for (is to give a more of a bitter tast) i just dont know but i want to learn maby u could teach me a few things chief23 about home brewing because i LOVE growing mj and brewing beer

ozmade, I haven't been home brewing long, but yes hops are for bittering and flavour. I can send you some e-books on the subject if you like. I am currently working on building a still for homemade spirits too!

 

PS There are loads of forums on the net for homebrewing too!

You might also like to make your own wort (instead of the pre-made syrup). I haven't tried this yet, but you can add hops to the wort also. As you know hops are closely related to cannabis.

Hey chief23 that would be cool thanx mate, i have only been home brewing for about 6 months but it is like growing mj once it is in ya blood it hard to give up, with ya still ya going to put tougher let us know how it went mite look into doing that my self good luck

 

p.s. i put me self a keg on laybuy to day the whole set up with 2 kegs 19lt for $395, the only thing i have to get is the CO2 bottle, cant BLOODY wait until i get ya can not beat a nice home brew on tap IMO
