Please help setting this timer

Well I eventually gave up on that timer.

I'm now using an Excalibur brand "outdoor" analog timer, from the local hardware shop... $12.95 and it worked the first time I tried it, and has been through a couple of cycles without a problem. So I'll see how it goes.

This new Excalibur timer failed to turn the lights off last night, but after testing it this morning it is working again. So I got about 3 days out of it... and now I have to wonder if it is doing its job every time.

I joined the forum for this but hope to find lots of other info here as well. 

Now...

I to just bought this system and came with no instructions and in my hunt for them I came across your thread. Two things you should know.

 

1.  only set the time by turning the time hand CLOCKWISE  if you turn it the other way or you turn the outer ring you will break all the little plastic gears inside and have to replace the timer. (you'd think this should be stated on the device somehow)

 

2. I am going to try and attach a pamphlet from the company that actually makes the timer. It has instructions on page 2 just ignore the bit about being a 7 day timer.

Hope this will help if you have not thrown it away OR if you stuffed it like I did mine you can use the Part number to get a new timer from ebay to swap out the broke one. Its easy just push on plugs. About $40 Australian.
