G'day Troops.

 

I gotta put in my 2 cents worth here about the 12-1 system. IT FUCKING WORKS, END OF STORY!!!!! My plants grew incredibly during the last 2 weeks I veged them, I have never seen such growth rates, in 30 odd years of growing, and now that I've flipped them, one was in head inside a week, the rest shortly there after, and they are raging. I've seen and documented the results in my thread, Norm Goes Indoors. So unless you are going to give it a try for yourselves, pull ya heads in, as you haven't got a clue as to what you're talking about. Love, your favourite Aunty. :guitar:

 

Hey Norm. How are you comparing this? I thought you only just started growing indoors? I have decided to give this a go.

 

It won't be a side-by-side. But the seeds i am using now. i have grown multple times before. If there is any differnce. I will notice. I hope your right. i also hope i don't end up with a bunch of herms.

I'm just going on what results I have here, and you are correct, I am in my first grow. But when I changed from 18-6 to 12-1 my plants doubled in size, during veg, in 2 weeks. They had been going for 10 weeks of 18-6, prior to using the 12-1. Some of the girls are the sativa I've been growing for a couple of years outdoors, and I'm getting better results indoors than I did outdoors. I don't know if I can use this as a comparison, probably unfair to even try, but the results are nothing short of astounding. When I flipped them into flower I had heads inside a week, something like 3 or 4 days. Now all the girls, repeat GIRLS, are going crazy. I have heads the size of my thumb on all 5 girls, one of which is being bred with the only male I got out of 6 plants. I thought I had a hermie, but on closer inspection (magnifying glass and loupe) found my fears were unjustified. I have an idea that as they never get interupted at night in the shed, like the car going in or out, they are doing well. I try to make a point of being home and inside before dark, for this reason.They are truely pampered. Next time I will stick with this. I'm planning the next run now, new, purpose built room in the shed. I've got the plans sketched out and I'm working out how much material I will need. :guitar:

Sorry Norm, i gotta say, ya way of the mark, People crappiing on about explosive growth from 12-1, just bollocks. You went from an 18hr day(18/6) down to a 13hr day(12 on 5.5 off , 1 on , 5.5 off), what you experienced is called stretch, all plants get it as they ready to flower inside, it happens when you drop the light hours, that will explain your "explosive growth" . So really your plants been trying to flower since you went to the 12-1 system.

Flowering after a week of reducing the lights, again, normal, i have had plenty of strains do that. My Ice was a prime example. But that flowered a TRUE week from 18hrs to 12 hrs light.

Growth under lights is always faster than outside, as is flowering. I bet that is all there is to this Hocus Pocus 12-1 , your plants are stretching into flowering, end of story, but everybody asumes they are still in "Veg" . This is the most stupid light regime I have read about, and I held my tongue for a bit, but now I call Bullshit.

@Grasshopper72: I totaly agree with you Gh. Part of me wants to try it, but my head keeps saying BS. I have tried both 18/6 and 24/0 and found 24/0 works best for me.

@Norm: I'm glad indoors is going so well for you. My last grow filled my 1 x 1 screen in 17 days under 24/0 light cycle. Are there anythings you changed at the same time as your light cycle? It could also be a strain thing i guess. If you think its working, stick with it and let us all know.

Hi there. I`ve never heard of a light cycle quite like this, has anyone here finished a grow using it?

Or tried side by side using normal 18/6- 12/12 cycles?

 

I cant seem to find anything outside of the original links which all seem to lead to the same group.

Heya Cruel Mistress, Vrod was testing this theory but his diary went strangely quiet , not sure why. I wont be believing it until I see someone go start to finish with it with a side by side 18/6 or 24/0 grow. Stuff on the net but I'm still not convinced. Goodluck. Peace. Gh72
