.. thats joe pietri pushing the "Dutch Fraud" again

perhaps you would be good enuf to explain to us how this so-called Dutch Fraud works ?

:peace:

From what I can gather we have this guy, Joseph R. Pietri, ex president of the Oregon Growers Society, author of The King of Nepal which is about when Nixon paid the King of Nepal $50 million to out law cannabis. Supposed to be a good read. Seems he thinks there is a conspiracy to make people pay more than they should for hydro supplies, lights, nutes etc & electricity, Dutch marketing fraud. This is my assumption I am probably wrong.

And then there’s this dude, Ed Rosenthal who has a website Ask Ed about growing etc edrosenthal.com Who he is I’m not sure but his posts are on “guggle†where ever a post on 12-1 appears his is there telling you why it doesn’t work.

I don’t know what part these guys play in the pot world, but they fuckin hate each other guts by the looks of things.

I will have to check it out in more detail when I have time.

Vrod.

Geebus Vrod  , You know who a cock like Joe Pietri is but you don't know who Ed Rosenthal is . Pmsl . Dude, you got a lot to learn.

Next Joe will be saying legends like Jack Herer didn't know shit about growing or breeding.

Ed Rosenthal has made some of the most awesome strains around and REALLY knows his shit. If you actually look into "The King of Nepal" you will find Joe is full of it. Also notice the 'EX" president of the Oregon Growers Society.

Read some books on growing mate, good ones, you can get them on the net for free most of the time. Look for names such as Ed Rosenthal, Jack Herer, Greg Green and many others who made it their lifes work.

As for the dutch marketing fraud, I'm not impressed by this at all, probably why Joe aint got a lot of mates left in Canna circles anymore, cause he's a crack pot. Everything is a conspiracy to Joe. :faint:

Read up on him, on other forums like Mr. Nice etc and you'll find he id Dissing everybody not just Ed......... good luck.

Peace. Gh72

Well I guess the only way to find out if it works is to give it a go. Been running the bud-box for a week now on the 12:1 regime and all looks good. Actually it was the term "light junkie" that kicked a disused neuron or two to fire and recalleind a convo with a gun grower 20 years ago. I remember asking him why he didn't just keep the lights going 24/7 during veg (I was only a teenager at the tiime) and he said "because it turns them into light junkies. I didn't really understand what he meant at the time, but seems to fit together, and it still makes sense to me. I'm giving a go, most people I know think I'm off me head anyways, why dissapoint them. No problems so far with this lighting so far. Will update as it goes. Wish I had a digital cam.

My other reason for going this way is that it is generally accepted that growing outdors, you will get a much greater yield than growing indoors, which always puzzeled me somewhat. Fair enough, it will get a greater spread of the spectrum of needed for plant growth, but givin the high intensity of the farming (controlled water quality, nutrients etc. etc). Or maybe I just have a pathalogical urge to do things differently. One thing is for sure though, if it works, I will notice the difference one the power bill comes in.

I have a quick question about the term, 'light junkie'. How exactly does a plant become a light addict? This seems implausble to me. You know, due to a plants lack of a brain or central nervous system.

Futhermore. Cannabis is a C3 plant. This mean it uses the CO2 it gathers during the light period. Hence doesn't need 'rest'. It takes cannabis X amount of time to mature. If you give it less hours of light a day. It will take more days to mature.

The only time it needs a dark period, is for flowering. I agree that 12/12 may not be the best flowering schedule for every plant. But i can garauntee you that if you step down the dark hours like you propose it could double the time your plant needs to ripen. There are no savings here, i assure you.

This isn't my 'opinion'. This is fact as I have read it in nearly every book I have ever read on the subject.

G'day Troops.

I gotta put in my 2 cents worth here about the 12-1 system. IT FUCKING WORKS, END OF STORY!!!!! My plants grew incredibly during the last 2 weeks I veged them, I have never seen such growth rates, in 30 odd years of growing, and now that I've flipped them, one was in head inside a week, the rest shortly there after, and they are raging. I've seen and documented the results in my thread, Norm Goes Indoors. So unless you are going to give it a try for yourselves, pull ya heads in, as you haven't got a clue as to what you're talking about. Love, your favourite Aunty.:guitar: :guitar: :guitar:

Not wrong Aunty, as I've stated when my bill is $800+ I get a seperate page stating that I'm 180% above average and tips on how to save power. If my bill was 2.5k that would be 500% above the average. How many get bills like this I wonder?

With the reducing light cycle you use 608 light hours over 60 days, with 12/12 you use 720 light hours. So you save 112 hours of power.

So if you where using a 600w light on 12/12 for 60 days @ $0.20 per kwh it would cost approx $86.40

With the reducing cycle 60 days would cost approx $68.88

1000w on 12/12 $144.00

Reducing $114.80

Not the savings they are stating but savings none the less.

G'day Vrod.

My sole income is the pension. Not a lot, after rent, power and gas, $430, come out each fortnight, then tucker, chook and dog food, fuel, medication etc, but you can get by if you are a bit prudent. So even if I'm saving only a few bucks, that's a bonus. And one thing is for sure, mate, you are preaching to the converted. If and when I do another run, it will be under the 12-1 regime. Have you seen my latest pics? Those plants are 10 and a bit weeks from sprouting. Just check the heads on the Pot of Gold. I'm stoked with it. I get a sort of deja-vu with Copernicus, who found out the earth WAS round.:guitar: :guitar: :guitar:
